This policy covers personal information that HASH Institute receives when you use the hashinstitute.org website and affiliated webpages (collectively, our “Site”).

THE CONTROLLER OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

This means the Trust is responsible for establishing the purposes and means for the use of your personal information. Any legal dispute shall be limited to the District Court, Samastipur.

INFORMATION THAT IS AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED BY OUR SYSTEM

We use the personal information that we receive to operate our Site, and for other Trust-related projects. Your personal information may be stored on our system and shared among Trust affiliates. We do not rent or sell your personal information to any other entity. We do not share your personal information with any other entity, except when:

We must exercise our legal rights, protect our property, defend against legal claims, or otherwise comply with the law; or

Donations, and payments made via our Site are processed in collaboration with independent service providers, and the use of information you provide in connection with these transactions is also governed by the privacy policies of those providers.

Trust and/or its affiliates may at times contact you at your email address to keep you informed about events and other Trust-related opportunities. Should you not wish to receive such communications, you will find details about how to opt out the first time you are contacted. If Trust is dissolved or transferred, or changes entity status, the personal information maintained on Trust systems will be among the transferred assets but will remain subject to any Trust privacy policy in existence at the time of the dissolution or transfer.

If your personal information is inaccurate, you can request a correction. You can edit personal information in your Profile by logging on to our system and manually editing your Profile page, or by sending a description of your requested change through the “Contact” link on our Site (https://hashinstitute.org/Contact). You can also delete your Profile or contact us at the address below to request the deletion of your personal information.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

The only people who have access to personal information collected on our Site, either directly or through use of Google Analytics, have a need to know this information and are bound by nondisclosure agreements and this privacy policy. We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the personal information that we store.

However, whenever you submit expressive content to certain areas of our Site — such as the Galleries, Events calendar, theme camp and art project listings, Resources and Journal — you understand that the submission will be made public on the Site. We will identify your submissions by the handle you register and will not disseminate any other registration information without your authorization. However, if you contact other posters by email, your personal information may be included in the header, as with any email.
